General Manager IT

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee day-to-day operations
  • Set policies and processes
  • Ensure employees work productively and develop professionally
  • Oversee recruitment and training of new employees
  • Evaluate and improve operations and financial performance
  • Prepare regular reports for upper management
  • Provide solutions to issues (e.g. profit decline, employee conflicts, loss of business to competitors)
  • Develop a strategic plan for optimized productivity
  • Improve organizational effectiveness by developing processes, overseeing employees, establishing a highly motivational work environment, and implementing innovative changes.
  • Adhere to company standards for excellence and quality
  • Seek out opportunities for expansion and growth by developing new business relationships
  • Recruit, onboard, and train high-performing employees to achieve objectives for sales, profitability, and market share
  • Maintain project timelines to ensure tasks are accomplished effectively
  • Resolve internal staff conflicts efficiently and to the mutual benefit of all involved

Skills

  • Professional and consultative business style – ability to be flexible and adaptable to different work styles independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Understanding of software development life cycle
  • Ability to be pro-active about keeping things organized and assertive about procedure, process and protocol.

  • Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel is a must.
